We seek a Regulation Manager to oversee safety regulations, coordinating a team of specialists and acting as a group manager to ensure alignment with internal assumptions (technical content and implementation timeline). In this role, you will define and execute the Regulation development strategy in line with Volvo Group product solutions. Focused on results, you will manage the team for enhanced performance and maintain transversal responsibilities within the SPP Product Regulation team.

What you'll do:


In the area of "Vehicle Safety" regulations, you will :
- Define regulatory strategies to be developed
- Coordinate, on a global scale, within your area of responsibility, your activity and that of regulatory specialists who may have an impact on the Volvo Group's business.
- Secure the coherence of Volvo positions needed to influence, externally, the development of regulations, organize and contribute to lobbying activity with other regulatory specialists, and the Volvo Brussels office, if necessary.
- Contribute to updating processes and way of working with the following organizations: Design and Research, homologation teams, purchasing, after-sales service, homologation support to different markets, brands and local homologation managers and others, to ensure compliance with regional/local regulations.
- To provide deadlines and regulatory assumptions to be applied on future products (technical content and deadlines), including a level of reliability of the information.
- Secure internal communication on future regulatory requirements under his/her responsibility and the associated potential risks (proposals, rules, application, etc.) for the relevant parts of the Volvo organization.
- Be the internal reference person on regulations in his/her field.
- Act as "vehicle safety" regulatory engineer.
Your future team
The "Product Regulations" team is open to all, made up of 6 different nationalities, working at 4 different sites and connected to a worldwide network.


Who are you?


A Master Science or Bachelor Science degree in engineering with at least 4 years' experience in drafting regulations in the field of automotive safety within the EU or UN/WP29,
You have solid experience in automotive regulation, with knowledge of the General Safety Regulation (GSR) and the Framework Regulation. As a member of a global network, you are sought after for your network-building skills, teamwork, customer focus, courage and integrity.
We're looking for someone creative, open to continuous learning, able to influence regulatory development in a demanding international environment, with a positive attitude and pride in their work. Excellent English, negotiation and communication skills required, with an impressive ability to analyze and synthesize.
