Safety Manager to SAS Link

The purpose of the role
The safety manager is expected to support, facilitate and lead the implementation and maintenance of the safety management system, fostering an organizational culture for effective safety management, risk management and occurrence reporting.
Your tasks
You will be the focal point for development, administration, and maintenance of the organization’s safety management processes. This will include tasks such as:
On behalf of the Accountable Manager, the day-to-day administration, management and development of the Safety Management System and associated documentation.
Ensuring that an understanding of and commitment to the objectives of the Safety Management system is promoted throughout all areas of SAS Link.
Organizing and chairing Safety Action Group meetings.
Managing Safety Performance Indicators and reporting on these to the accountable person.
Presenting a safety overview to the accountable manager’s review. Facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis and management.
Support in accident or incident investigations when required.
Administration and development of the Safety Reporting Database and Flight Data Monitoring systems to include event detection limits that reflect the current operating procedures.
Management of confidential reporting system and promoting awareness of the Authority confidential safety reporting system.
Administration of ASR reporting system ensuring that all ASR events are assessed and closed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 376/2014.
Liaise with the Compliance Monitoring Manager to ensure the effectiveness of change consequent to any proposals for corrective action identified by the Safety Management System.
Provide safety management support to the Accountable Manager and Nominated Persons
Disseminate appropriate safety related information and provide feedback from safety investigations and Air Safety Reports to the appropriate staff.
Undertaking the relevant training in safety related tasks and conduct safety induction courses when required.
Administrate SAS Link digital training records system
About you
To succeed in this position, you need to understand stakeholder management and be able to execute cross functional leadership in a multinational environment. With deep understanding
of the supplier side of the business, you are able to prioritize and work independently. You have the ability to create a productive safety culture and be proficient with both written and oral communications, especially English.
Regarding the formal background, we are looking for you who have:
• 10+ years of professional experience in aviation sector
• Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
• Comprehensive knowledge of EASA Ops and any associated requirements and procedures
• Extensive experience working with SMS
• Appropriate experience in a comparable organization
• Administrative experience and O365 “know how”.
• Holding or have held a Safety Manager position in a CAT/CAMO organization operating large aircraft or several years of experience in a CAT/CAMO safety management organization.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, engineering or law, alternatively corresponding work experience
