is looking for a


Sales & Application Engineer Marine Commercial
Volvo Penta designs, develops, manufactures and markets marine and industrial power systems. Advanced technology and high standards of quality, combined with a high degree of support for our customers, are its prime competitive features.
Sales Engineering Marine is providing technical sales support to all Volvo Penta Market Units for marine products.


Main responsibilities:
Provide expert support and advice on the Volvo Penta Marine Commercial product range.
Collect boat data, perform calculations predicting performance, sizing exhaust systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, etc. for both large and small commercial applications.
Perform measurements and in some cases commissioning in the field or at boat builder location.
Give recommendations to our customers regarding choice of propulsion system and installation related issues.
Transfer competence to the market units and participate in the development of installation information and documentation.
Be the department representative in Product Development projects with main focus on installation and application of our products.
Work with long term development of tools and methods that will add value to our products and improve the installation quality.
Represent Volvo Penta at Customer & OEM meetings.

Qualifications:
M. Sc, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering preferred)
Fluent in both spoken and written English is required. Swedish and additional language skills are preferred
Experience from the marine industry is preferred
Experience from, and interest in, the practical operation and/or maintenance of boats is preferred
Experience from international contacts (and travel) is preferred

Profile
We are looking for a person with an open and positive attitude, with a strong focus on providing sales support and technical advice, with the customer in mind. You should be goal orientated and able to work on your own initiative. Your ability to communicate with people of different origin and background is essential.
