Sandvik Construction is a business area within the Sandvik Group providing solutions for virtually any construction industry application, encompassing such diverse businesses as surface rock quarrying, tunneling, excavation, demolition, road building, recycling and civil engineering. The range of products includes rock tools, drilling rigs, breakers, bulk-materials handling and crushing and screening machinery.
PL Crushing & Screening (C&S) Spares and Wears is a department within Product Area TOCS (Tools, Consumables and Services) and are managing and developing the offering portfolio and support to our sales areas and distributors for the crushing and screening equipment. We are now looking for a Sales Developer with a determined sales approach, who will help us in developing the aftermarket side of our Mobiles business to desired levels, meeting the Business Area's growth targets for this business. The location for the position is Svedala (Sweden), Swadlincote (UK) or Ballygawley, (Northern Ireland).
Key performance areas
As Sales Developer you will work with both current and potential customers. The role is focused on sales development and you will be working very close to the Aftermarket Customer support team of Mobiles.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Grow the sales within our current and future sales network
- Review existing distributors and their performance and commitment
- Assure all distributors have local inventory and required support of the active fleet.
- Ensure your distributors' process and technical competence meets our requirements.
- Introduction of new products from our offering portfolio
- Convey feedback on future development of offering portfolio
You will be part of the management team of PL C&S Spares and Wears. This position involves international traveling about 100 days per year.
Your profile
We are looking for a high school graduate with a strong sales background of at least five years, preferably ten. Experience with construction and/or plant machinery is a prerequisite for the position, as it is important that you understand the customer segment and can converse easily with customers. You have excellent communication skills in English, both in writing and in speaking, as well as good computer skills. Knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.
As a person you have a determined sales approach, probably gained from working through a dealer organization/network. You are a good communicator and good at getting the message through and convincing the customer where necessary. You also have a structured and proactive working style, with the ability to set, reach and follow up goals together with distributors.
