Sales Development Representative to Alva Labs
Back in the day, if your father was a blacksmith, you would grow up to be a blacksmith. If you wanted to do something different, that was pretty much impossible. But all of that has changed now, right? You can be anything you want to be!
Well, it depends. Looking at research the recruitment scene is dark. If you are a woman, you need to send in 30% more applications than men. If you are a person of color, that number goes up to 50%. If you have a foreign-sounding name, you are 60% less likely to get a call back to an interview (regardless of the level of experience). If you are too old, or too young, you will struggle to get a job. If your BMI is higher, it will be harder too. So unless you are a white, middle-aged, male with the right-sounding name, things haven’t changed much since medieval times. You will still inherit your profession…

The company
Alva Labs offers a SaaS solution that is helping global companies grow their team in a scientific way. Alva has created a unique candidate assessment platform that helps companies build their organisations with the right people in the right place. By combining state-of-the-art psychometrics, data science, and an obsession with candidate experience, it provides the needed tool for data-driven talent acquisition.
We are growing 2-3x per year and are in the exciting phase to launch Alva in new markets.
The role
We are moving towards several new markets, UK being one of them. This will be your playground!
Our Sales team is a well-oiled machine, where you will work closely with other SDRs and Account Executives. You will be responsible for the initial part of the funnel, making sure to book qualified meetings to ensure a strong pipeline.
As an SDR, you’ll work with our UK Sales team to source new deals through outbound cold calls, developing email sequences, and following up on our growing tranche of inbound leads.
To help you ramp and have success at Alva, you will receive a hands-on onboarding program designed to give you all the tools you need to be successful - including sales training, a UK market playbook and Alva platform education.
You
We don’t necessarily care that much about what you have done before. Maybe you have worked in Sales before, maybe you haven’t. One of our current superstars had never worked in Sales before…. So to be super transparent, if you are the right person (because that is what we care a lot about), we can help you reach your full potential on-site. There is enough structure and collegial support to go around! To enjoy the role, it helps if you cross off some of these characteristics:
- Genuinely enjoy handling stakeholders of all sorts
- Structured
- Communicative
- Goal-oriented (some would call it stubbornness, we just used the fancy CV appropriate term)
- Your English is fluent. No need to be able to speak Swedish for this role!
A weird sense of humour is also always welcomed, but is more of a nice-to-have :)

We are a team of 60 people, representing 16 different nationalities and a wide selection of professional backgrounds.
