We are now looking for a Sales Engineer with a focus on the French market. You will be working remotely from Schweiz, Paris, or at our HQ in Stockholm.
What is the Hive Sales Engineering team?
Hive Sales Engineering team is our technical team working tightly with Hive Sales representatives on winning mainly new opportunities, but sometimes also renewals. The team assists with Product introduction and demoing, Security and data assessments, Proof of Concepts, troubleshooting, and other tasks needed to show product value to the Customer and drive the opportunity forward. The team has comprehensive product knowledge, deep enterprise networking skills, and support Sales and Customers with high responsiveness. They are a trusted adviser in Video Delivery and Video Experience.

You will be the sixth Sales Engineer in the global Sales Engineer team, and you will have co-workers that are stationed both in U.S, Stockholm, Zürich, together with your Team Lead Stefan who is based in Stockholm. Here, taking a coffee over Teams is always a good idea!

Working as a Sales Engineer
You will be an important part of the team, and your focus will be on evangelizing, explaining & demonstrating the Hive Streaming service for end-customers towards the French market. You’ll work directly with customers, but also via Partners, to use the Hive Streaming service with a video platform they have acquired separately - such as the Microsoft Stream & Teams, Kaltura, Intrado Studio, Facebook Workplace and more. Daily, you’ll be serving Customers with Product information and run Proof of Concepts while also addressing Security questions and Hive Service value. You will also be a driver of change to create a better experience for our customers.
You will…
- Deliver technical sales presentations and pre-sales support alongside Hive Sales directors
- Demonstrate the Hive Streaming service for customers with confidence
- Guide customers throughout service trials and Proof of Concepts by utilizing tools and references to Hive Knowledge Base
- Articulate Hive's service requirements, including networking, endpoint requirements and product feedback
- Contribute on RFI, RFP and security questionnaires
Previous Experience
- You understand Sales from a technical solution viewpoint, is self-going and at the same time works collaboratively to drive opportunities forward
- You have an understanding of enterprise architecture & networking, including routing, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi and InfoSec policy
- You have an understanding of the end-to-end video workflow from encoding to distribution
- You have knowledge within video streaming technology: from HDS to HLS, Smooth Streaming to MPEG-DASH, IP Multicast, Windows Media, Flash Video, DRM & more
- You talk English and French fluently
If you speak Spanish, that would be a big plus.
