Do you have a deep technical knowledge within trucks, are interested in optimizing vehicles to fit body works and bring out related tools and methods to our sales force? Then the position as Sales Engineer within Body Building is probably what you are looking for!
KJI - Presales & Sales Implementation at Scania Sales & Marketing, is a department with the mission to implement and secure that our sales tools and methods reaches all the way out to our global organisations and being used in the intended way. Today our organisation consists of thirteen people and we are now looking for a new colleague to strengthen the team working with body building and optimization of vehicles.
Work description
In the role as Sales Engineer, you will work within a cross-functional environment with many stakeholders. Towards R&D and their Body Work department, you will discuss technical solutions around body works, giving input from markets, while in return be part of bringing out the palette of solutions and make it available for the sales force. Another important task is to secure that technical information needed to meet customer needs are available on our Body Building Portal for a wide spread of users.
Towards body builders, you will exchange knowledge in recurrent meetings and being part of training them in our Scanias products. Towards distributors you will help them with specific customer cases as well as general body work questions and give advices. To do this, you will be using our state-of-the-art specification and optimization tools to tailor vehicles to fit customer’s needs. You will also support users with our process and application for the creation of 3D data and chassis drawing. Both are used by sales representatives in their quotation and ordering phase, as well as by body builders as technical documentation for their body design and assembling.
Last but not least, you will be part of the transition into the next level of tools and methods to meet new demands like e-mobility, complete vehicles, extended optimization tools and new ways of digital customer interactions. Here you will work with implementation colleagues in our team as well as product owners for different involved systems. This means taking part in pre-studies, piloting and roll-outs of tools and methods. You will also look into new possible ways of communication with all stakeholders and more sophisticated ways of exchanging design data with body builders.
This position provides great opportunity to get in contact with many different parts inside and outside of the Scania organisation. As stakeholders are positioned all over the world, you will have frequent international contacts also the possibility to travel.
Profile
You are truly interested in our products in combination with different body works and in real operations. You have analytical skills, a structured approach and strive to understanding of how the small details affect the bigger picture. You have good communication skills, cooperate well in different contexts and like to work cross functional.
You are persuasive and finds it easy to argue your case and win the respect of others. You work well under pressure and deals with stress in a constructive way, maintaining good humour despite pressure and setbacks. As a person you are a curious “doer” with a creative mind and problem solving comes natural to you.
Furthermore, you have at least 2 years of working experience within relevant area. Commercial experience from the automotive industry and technical knowledge in Scania products and services is definitely an advantage. An academic degree in business, engineering or equivalent is required as well as being fluent in English. A second or third language is a merit.
