Your mission
As a Sales Engineer, you work with customer and manufacturers to identify, consult on and develop new and existing Metal Powder & 3D printing customer opportunities. Working with clients to consult, identify pain points and propose Sandvik Metal Powder solutions to solve their engineering problems you develop new business opportunities and expand on our established relationships. You’re at the forefront of technology trends and changing market conditions driven by customer needs and are proactive in predicting forecasts and identify opportunities; successfully finding ways of turning strategy into operational performance. You also establish profitable relationships with our customers and partners, and you ensure synergies and great collaboration across our organization.


Other important parts of your mission include:
Analyzing customer needs and generate new opportunities and handle all aspects of the end-to-end sales process
Build a network; research prospective clients using web and social media, internal databases, and external tools to identify leads
Identify and approach businesses which fit within our target market to continue to grow your influence within your accounts to generate additional business as your clients’ progress in their use of Additive Manufacturing & Powder Metallurgy
Representing us at key industry events, conferences, and exhibitions internationally and within EMEA
Coaching, educating, and training customers and colleagues on our wide range of customized Metal Powder Solutions.
Proactively collaborate with all Sandvik divisions and across our Additive Manufacturing division, acting as an ambassador for our business and our core values



You report to the Lead Sales Manager for EMEA and work closely with a global team of professionals across the across our Additive Manufacturing division, often utilizing digital tools combined with physical meetings to collaborate as ambassadors for our business and our core values.


The location for this position is either in Sandviken, Sweden or Neath, United Kingdom or alternatively a flexible home-office is available within mainland Europe. Travel throughout Europe and on-site customer presence is a natural part of your job.


Your character
You have a background within sales or business development and an interest and passion of industrial manufacturing utilizing Additive Manufacturing or Powder Metallurgy. Your knowledge is grounded by a relevant university degree, such as Business or Engineering. A background from the metal industry or metal powder sector with experience of Additive Manufacturing is highly advantageous. We act in a global context, which calls for fluency in English, and we consider skills other languages used in the EMEA region as clearly beneficial.


Your curiosity and perseverance in working closely with customers problems, combined with technical affinity to be able to sell our offering and proactiveness to spot opportunities to develop business is key in this role. You have a commercial mindset, an independent in approach and are genuinely skilled in developing durable customer relations. You’re engaged in customers challenges and able to collaborate in developing sustainable customer solutions.
