We are now looking for the right PERSON to extend the team of Sales Engineers & Technical Trainers within the Nordic region. This position will be based in Sweden. This is a role within presales focused on supporting our sales teams with technical competence and being the technical "bollplank" (Swedish for sounding board!)



Preferably we would like this person to be office-based in our HQ in Lund. However, for the right candidate - the location is not a showstopper, and we are open to discussing a remote setup within the Swedish region.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Sales Engineer, you will be the professional link between sales and technology, always explaining our fantastic portfolio and what it does for our customers. If we are lucky, you will find yourself in the middle of our customer's environment testing, showing, and educating them on how to use Axis solutions in their businesses. You will have the opportunity to visit new and exciting places that you would normally not be able to visit, from offices to industries, oil platforms, governmental sites, and Zoos (Yes, Zoo).


The role is responsible for researching, preparing, and presenting technical product presentations designed to provide the essential skills for our clients to successfully implement network video surveillance systems. You will hold inspiring presentations and demonstrations and create your own content based on audience and topic. You are a person that enjoys the balance of sitting and solving customer problems, designing the best video/audio and access control system in the comfort of your own home. At the same time, you are eager to pack your bags and equipment in order to get down to business, showcasing your theories and designs.



Apart from the above-mentioned tasks, it will be your job to:

* Support our key customers with technical advice and support in new projects. Working in close conjunction with our Key Account Managers and End Customer Team.
* Customize and adapt customer installations regarding Axis solutions together with partner software and/or hardware.
* Making customer visits, conducting product demonstrations and pilot installations as well as hands-on trials with customers and Partners.
* Set up technical installations to investigate new solutions and create material around findings.
* Supporting the sales organization in tender and RFP/RFQ process and answering project-related questions.
* Helping the sales organization to qualify tenders in order to select projects.
* Set up Axis demo area at events/trade shows and demonstrate Axis products to Customers.
* Continuously keep the technical knowledge up to date on the latest products.
* Provide selected pieces of training from the Axis Academy portfolio.
* Work with the central/global pre-sales organization and develop written pre-sales material of technical nature, both in the form of articles and PowerPoint presentations.
* Follow up on set KPIs related to the function and offer a contribution to reach the target set for the region.

As mentioned at the beginning of the advert, the role will preferably be office-based in Lund, but for the right candidate, we might be open to a remote setup. Regardless of location, the most important thing is a strong customer focus where some traveling within Sweden is expected. This will include site visits and customer meetings. Some international travel across the region will also be expected. Travel will also include visits/meetings to the global HQ in Lund Sweden.



WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We will focus on the personality and who you are, rather than exactly what you know. We would like to see that you are a focused and self-motivated team player with a technical background in IT, Telecom, or Networking/IP. We believe you love collaborating with other functions and people in order to get the job done. Preferably this comes from experience in presales, project-based work within the IT channel, or some kind of knowledge in networking, IP-based technologies, and/or applications. We would also like to see that you have some kind of foundation in network infrastructure (TCP/IP).

Apart from this, we believe you have/are:

* Professional in the Swedish & English language, written and spoken
* Experience in Network Configuration & Troubleshooting
* Knowledge of Audio/Video protocols & technology
* Knowledge of HTTP and MQTT integration
* Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
* Excellent communication skills in order to develop internal and external relationships.
