We are now looking for a talented and ambitious person to take up the position as Sales Engineering support within our Product Management, Technology and Tender support function for Business Unit Chassis (BUC).
Business Unit Chassis drives Volvo Buses commercial operations and product range in Asia, Australia/Oceania, Middle East, Africa, CIS, South America and UK markets through four market clusters (APAC, MEAC, LAM and West).
The position is located at VBC headquarters in Gothenburg (Sweden) and you will report to the VP Product Management, Technology and Tender Support.

Product Management BUC is a small but highly efficient team of 4 people within Business Unit Chassis. We keep up to date with competition, markets and technology development, as well as our current product performance through direct involvement and our network. With both short and long term perspective we are on top of trends as well as current and future opportunities and challenges. Based on analysis and business perspective, we recommend direction and way forward in all products related topics for our business unit.
Job description
As Sales Engineering support, you will:
Give direct support in product and sales engineering related matters
Have a role of PM Marketing in different PMRs (Representing different functions within Business Unit Chassis: product management, market, industry and service market)
Support the internal process for an effective "Release for sale" and "Take to market" strategy
Provide Technical Tender support (evaluate technical and legal requirements compliance, compile technical documentation for the tender)
Support with Sales Tools and simulations (PERF, Buswin)
Ensure information flow between the markets and PD in relevant product related matters
Represent Business Unit Chassis in relevant Global Product forums (PMSC, PMR-RMT)
Issue CA and follow up the same
Follow up R&D spending within MA frame

Required knowledge and experience
Successful candidates should match the following skills and experience profile
You have business or technical education at university level or equal
Experience from the commercial automotive vehicle industry
Good understanding of technology and good understanding of vehicles
High level of flexibility and creativity is required as well as good cross-cultural understanding
You are self-confident, a good team worker and self-motivated
Good net-worker with a holistic view and good communication skills
Fluent in English, both in writing and orally is required. Other language skills are benefits.

Have experience from international business
