Safmarine is an international liner shipping company, which serves customers in a number of countries with a fleet of 40 vessels and 60,000 containers. Safmarine was established in 1946 and is particularly involved in the African trades.Since 1999 the company has been a part of the A.P.Moller Group, where it has a close co-operation with Maersk Line's worldwide liner network.Safmarine Sweden is looking for an In-house Sales Representative.Responsibilities - Strive for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing / identifying needs and suggesting solutions to help customers.- Effectively assist in problem resolution by building a good understanding of whom to reach internally and routing/following up appropriately.- Assist with processing price quotes and rate negotiations.- Identify potential problems and qualify them in an effort to prevent service failures.- Track competitor information & market trends, suggest required action.- Assist the finance department when necessary with monitoring accounts, payment of freight, including the investigation and resolution of invoice disputes.- Ensure response for all sales leads/key correspondence within 24 hours, handle incoming customer & vendor calls personally and direct appropriately.- Build a good understanding of target customers Provide personalized service and build relationships with customers.- Increase knowledge of other value-added product offerings and assist sales team by identifying potential opportunities for integrated selling.- Create, formulate and manage service contracts with customers.Communicate service or rate changes, notable trends, policies and other relevant information to assigned accounts.- Participate actively in sales meetings and joint sales calls on customers as required.- Assist the department by performing other job related duties as required.
