For more than a 100 years, Scania has supplied complete vehicles for peacekeeping and defence missions in various countries worldwide. Scania vehicles stem from the company’s modular product system, contributing to a wide and competitive portfolio of defence truck types to meet a variety of defence applications.
 
We are currently expanding, being successful in several tenders and to keep up with the increasing global demand for our products and services, and we are looking for an experienced and professional Sales Manager.
 
Your role
Scania’s Sales and Marketing division is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager responsible for Scania’s Defence and Relief trucks business.
 
The Defence Sales Management team has the global commercial responsibility for the trucks business including customer demand analysis, pricing, product portfolio management and product marketing.  
 
Your responsibilities will include management of tender work as well as specific requests from the global business units, interfacing across disciplines and departments to achieve business objectives, and identification and pursuit of new business opportunities.
 
In addition, you will represent Scania in conferences, exhibitions and other events that brings industry professionals together.
 
Your skills and experience
You need to be passionate about customer needs and have both a genuine product interest and a commercial understanding. You have a structured way of working and are able to drive activities under great own responsibility. More specifically the ideal candidate will have: 

10+ years of Defence industry experience
an extensive network in the Defence industry
experience in governmental tendering and procurement
managerial or team leader experience
good understanding of System Engineering
relevant academic degree or equivalent work experience
good English verbally and in writing
