International manufacturer of high-performance aluminium components for truck and marine engines is seeking for its foundry in Sweden. Sales Manager Europe Our client is one of Europe's leading suppliers of cast aluminium components and specializes in the production of transmission parts, among other aluminium components for automotive applications, since it was founded in 1951. The plant is located in the western part of Sweden, at the Norwegian border and 1.5 hours away by car from the Oslo airport. It supplies leading European manufacturers of heavy trucks and marine engines with powertrain, gearbox, chassis and safety components. The Swedish company uses casting technologies such as Gravity Semi Permanent Moulding and Low Pressure Die Casting and has significant CNC-centre capabilities. It has the capacity to produce 12,000 ton per year, whereof a substantial part can be machined in-house, to be supplied ready for assembly. They are ready to meet the demands of the automotive industry around the world. We have been assigned to search and select the Sales Manager who will take on the role in Europe as a region. You will report directly to the managing director of the company. You are to meet the challenge of analysing customer requirements and give input to R&D in order to maintain current and generating new business. The Ideal candidate has a degree in mechanical or process engineering and/or is a foundry engineer with good commercial abilities or has a business degree and excellent technical acumen and proven experience in the automotive supply industry and in the areas of sales & marketing, purchasing, application engineering, customer service etc. Your background includes successful sales & marketing management. You have a strong track record of creating opportunities for contacts and are accepted at all levels of management both externally on the customer side and within your company. You combine analytical and conceptual strength with dynamic energies and have spirit and drive. You have the demonstrated ability to accomplish tough goals. You are professionally and personally convincing with excellent interpersonal and communicational skills. Proficiency in German as well as English is an absolute requirement and additional language skills would be beneficial.
