At Siemens Energy we manufacture, sell and service some of the finest turbomachinery in the world.
As part of our service concept we update the control systems for our own fleet of rotating equipment as well as the fleet of our competitors to meet the highest standards in terms of safety, efficiency and reliability.
To support our service department for mechanical maintenance and upgrades in the Nordic countries we are looking for an experienced Sales Manager with the knowledge and drive to sell Siemens control systems for rotating equipment: Gas- and steam turbines and compressors for the oil and gas-, manufacturing- and power generation industry.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
You will be the first line contact for advanced business between our experienced sales team and client facing team for service on rotating equipment and the Industrial Controls Product Line. As such you will support regional client facing team and the client by providing strategic advice, quotations and technical sales support for the Industrial Controls portfolio.
The challenge
Corporate within the service team to identify, evaluate, develop, and follow-up on advanced business projects for services.
Develop and execute an annual plan for meeting their individual target, and plans / forecasts order volumes based on proactive opportunity development within the assigned territory
Investigate and evaluate specific advanced business opportunities for the client related product and service portfolio. Qualify opportunities to determine bid strategy and solution
Provide strategic advice, quotations and technical sales support (e.g. pricing, scope, proposal coordination, customer meetings…) to the regional service organisation for the Industrial Controls portfolio, internal or external coordination and clarification of technical issues, special emphasis on large / complex engineered solutions projects or service programs
Observe and analyse market trends, client needs, competitive intelligence, market drivers and buying influences for the development sales campaigns for the IC portfolio in coordination with the SCD REU IC Team and SDO Client Facing Team.
Perform technical feasibility assessments, clarify client needs and develop client-focused modification/ upgrade concepts.
Develop / prepare product specific quotations / proposals (maintenance intervals, service scope, technical design, risk analysis, product cost modelling,…) incl. hand-over of won orders to project management
Conduct and/or support contract and scope negotiations with clients in coordination with regional service client facing team.
Perform and coordinate the preparation and tracking of proposals in support of the identified opportunities, regional cost modelling and guarantees.
Integrate multiple product line offerings and localized content
Manage the sales funnel by timely documenting the life cycle of advanced business opportunities and ensure all advanced business opportunities are properly entered into Siemens Energy customer relations management system, forecasted and tracked to closure.
Regularly communicate with our factories and engineering departments to keep up to date with developments and potential upgrades.
Support the service teams, client facing teams and clients with product know how, marketing trips and product / offerings presentations.
Provide voice of the client needs/competitive intelligence, market drivers and buying influences for the development of new product and service offerings
Support departmental initiatives and opportunities as required
Who are you?
Working knowledge of instrumentation, DCS systems, electrical switchgear, transformer & generator protection and steam / gas turbines installations in a power generation / oil & gas context.
Knowledge acquired over 5+ years in applicable engineering activity with varying duties / functions from design through to commissioning on heavy industry projects.
Application programming experience in any of the following:
Siemens control systems, SPPA-T3000, PCS7, S7, S5.
Rockwell ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500;
HMI: WinCC, IFIX; Wonderware.
Successful experience of working in teams made up of international members in a complex environment.

Education: Expected to have a minimum of a relevant engineering qualification.
What do we expect from you?
You are passionate about sales of complex systems including engineering and commissioning.
You furthermore possess
Working knowledge of at least one Scandinavian language as well as English
Capability of high-level contract negotiations
A good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools particularly Access, Excel, Visio, Word and Microsoft Project.
Ability to plan own work and follow up on customer relations and promises.
