Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will manage the infusion pump sales team within one of the Baxter Business Units in order to achieve sustainable sales growth with existing customers and generate new business in line with agreed business objectives. You will contribute to the definition and implementation of the sales strategy while representing Baxter in the market and driving the team towards success.
Achieve all sales, financial and customer targets in line with the business and personal objectives while managing the sales team on a daily basis
Identify optimal commercial models to drive sustainable and profitable long-term business, whilst accommodating local procurement preferences
Act as an account manager until the sales team is in place.
Build long-term relationships with existing and new customers while keeping them fully informed about Baxter products & therapies
Co-operate closely with Marketing, Sales Support and Customer Service in order to reach full customer satisfaction & the set targets
Lead the tender management process for all tenders in area of responsibility in order to ensure long-term business growth
Coach, develop, motivate, support and lead the sales team while acting as a role model and supporting company values
Prepare, implement and review sales operating plans which identify likely revenue and number growth in accordance with the Business Unit plans
Constantly look for ways to improve the sales force efficiency while implementing tools to manage its performance
Own customer issues and ensure all parties and team members are kept informed of relevant information, in order to enhance customer loyalty and revenue generation
Own the budgetary and planning processes and monitor performance against budget.
Build collaborative partnerships with key internal stakeholders such as Technical Services, IT, Operations
Qualifications
Must have Experience
5 years operational Sales experience in a healthcare company
Medical hardware experience is key
Master’s degree (Life Science, Nursing, Commercial or Medical)
Desirable Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a sales team.
Infusion pumps experience is an asset
Managed a business including capital or long sales cycle with high value contracts
