Purpose of the role
As Sales Manager, you will be an integral part of the Sweden Customer Growth team that is responsible for all commercial activities on behalf of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group companies’, including Shipping Services (WW Ocean, EUKOR) and Logistics Services (WW Solutions, Keen etc).
This role will be an ambassador of Wallenius Wilhelmsen in the Swedish market with overall responsibility for development, planning, execution and sales performance delivery for its defined customer and cargo segment. You will align and co-ordinate customer and cargo priorities against contract delivery, achieved by close communication with PDC (Product Development & Contracting) and Business Operations roles for Shipping Services and Logistics Services.
The role includes global account ownership for some of our key Swedish customers and reports into the General Manager, Sweden Sales.
Essential Competencies:
• Relationship Management multi-level and multi-product.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Wide understanding of Shipping Services and Logistics Services
• High degree of commercial and market awareness and deep market knowledge of High & Heavy and/or Breakbulk markets.
• Understanding of customer drivers and how to deliver a product to market.
• Analytical skills with result-oriented approach
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent)
Main accountabilities
• Drive new business generation and revenue growth across defined customers and cargo segment in line with Strategy, Business Plan and Commercial Targets
• Account Management and/or support for accounts as defined, incl. driving/contributing to contract renewal, RFIs/RFQs, new business opportunities and customer strategy as needed.
• Close coordination and collaboration between regional sales and business operations teams.

Essential competencies to succeed
We are looking for a person with extensive experience and a proven track record working in a Sales and/or account management role within the shipping sector, preferably in the RoRo segment. You are a proactive leader that can drive and influence important stakeholders. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and display flexibility and problem-solving to meet changing priorities and business needs.
