Sales & Marketing Manager to Surface Technology

We are now looking for a brave and passionate Sales & Marketing Manager for our Surface Technology business - someone who wants to take an active part in the commercialization and continuous development of profitable growth for this business within the renewable energy segment.
Surface Technology has an advanced steel strip coating solution which sets the industry standard as a key component used in various applications within Hydrogen society. This is an important industrial area which has the potential to lower the world’s usage of fossil fuels and is viewed as a strategic area for SMT going forward.
Your challenge
To be a driver in this exiting journey in a fast-growing market, we are looking for someone who finds motivation in finding new market opportunities and in generating business growth.
As part of Surface Technology management team, you will work closely with both our Operations and R&D teams to deliver superior products and solutions to our customers.
With your technical interest and business talent - executing on the commercial strategy, which will entail negotiations, pricing and establishing pre-conditions for increasing our production you will be the key driver in continuously new, and maintaining existing, relations with our customers.
You set ambitious targets, plan accordingly, deliver on promises and follow through. You enjoy building relationships and collaborating with customers and other stakeholders as well as use your great communication skills and an empowering and inspiring leadership in line with our company core values to develop both our business and your co-workers.
Your team consist of 3 direct reports and indirect and sales resources at international sales units.
About you
We are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in a technical or commercially oriented discipline, or with relevant qualifications acquired through significant experience. In this position, you need both the technical foundation and good business acumen.
You understand industrial business, B2B, and have experience in both direct as in project sales. You have relevant and senior experience from a similar position in a global business environment. You also have proved success in sales, structured strategy approach, business development and finding new market opportunities. Experience of work with focus on emerging markets, on a global scale, is advantageous. As we operate in an international business environment, your communication skills in English are excellent, both verbally and in writing. Further language skills are seen as a merit.
The location for this position is somewhat flexible, but presence in Sandviken, Sweden, at least three to four days a week is a requirement.
Extensive international travel is a natural part of the job.
You will report directly to our Business Unit Manager, Surface Technology.
