WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this highly technical and consultative role, reporting to the Commercial Manager of Tecan Nordic, you will drive sales of Tecan’ s Detection portfolio in the assigned territory. Your main responsibility is Sweden, but you will also support Tecan distributes in Finland, Denmark and Norway.
Whilst some of the system sales activities are straightforward, most involve an intricate and iterative sales process. As a sales specialist you will develop a deep knowledge of Detection platforms (Single and multimode plate readers, plate washers and cell imaging) in order to support various clients across your region.
Responsibilities will include
• Prospection and sales of Tecan Liquid Detection Instruments
• Establishing quotes and participation to public tenders
• Completing database of CRM
• Establishing the sales forecast for his/her sales territories
• Participation in exhibitions
• Organization of product demonstrations
• Training of customers pre- and post sale
• Meet or Exceed sales budget quota
• Actively drive and develop portfolio products in existing and new customer segments
QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for a highly motivated self-starter who have a consultative and creative approach to looking after the needs and concerns of customers. A keen ability to initiate contact and develop relationships with people.
Other important personal attributes include working in a proactive and organized manner, good time management skills and strong ability to work both independently and contribute in a team environment.
Key qualifications are:
• Academic degree in life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry or related)
• At least three years of experience with track record in a similar position in sales within Life Sciences or experience from R&D within relevant field of Life Science.
• Strong technical skills and in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in relevant molecular biology techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both English and Swedish are mandatory
• Profound Microsoft Office Software knowledge
• CRM/SAP knowledge is a clear bonus
