The role
The SAP Basis Analyst is responsible for the management of the EluxOne SAP environment providing technical support and leadership on SAP systems, including establishing standards and requirements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, and system configuration, design and implementation. Designs and develops SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs.
Electrolux has chosen to outsource Production “Application Operations” which includes SAP Basis. This means that the SAP Basis Analyst role will need to work very closely with the outsourcing supplier, both day to day operations as well as planning maintenance windows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working with the project team and IT platform teams to define the physical production landscapes for SAP
• Configure and execute SAP change control functions and batch jobs management across our instances.
• Maintain updates and planning for SAP software corrections including SAP OSS notes and SAP support packages.
• Conduct both pre and post OSS and EHP upgrade activities
• SAP system troubleshooting and problem solving, as well as day-to-day monitoring and administration of SAP systems
• Establish operational procedures for the SAP infrastructure
• Work with the Sarbanes-Oxley team to ensure that any new operational policies or procedures fulfil the specified audit requirements
• Maintain SAP system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
• Secures SAP system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
• Keeps knowledge up to date by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Reporting to: SAP Basis Lead
Experience and Skill requirements:
• 8 years+ experience within the field of SAP Basis
• 5 years+ working with SAP Solutions running on IBM DB2
• 3 years+ working with SAP Solutions running on SAP HANA
• 3 years+ working with a landscape that includes SAP SCM
• Extensive SAP roll out and upgrade projects experience
• Experience working with SAP installations, upgrades (SAP version, EHP, SPS, Kernel, SUM), maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting of issues and tuning and optimization
• Thorough knowledge of SAP software and DB2 and HANA databases, as well as working experience of key business applications including SAP ECC, BW, BOBJ, CRM, PI/PO, SCM, SolMan, Fiori
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP technical architecture with hands-on experience
• Experience in configuration and using Solution Manager in troubleshooting and monitoring
• Good understanding of structured project management techniques
• Knowledge of high availability & disaster recovery solutions
• Well versed within IT Security (SSL, Kerberos, SAML, SNC etc)
• Experience working with Cloud solutions for SAP
• Integrating SAP with identity management solutions
• Actively interact with the third party off-shore basis team or other BASIS team members
• Excellent customer service, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Actively develop of own technical and personal skills
• Demonstrate an inclusive and globally aware mindset
• Ability and flexibility to work in a virtual environment across multiple time zones
• Experience working within a multi-cultural environment
