Job Description
We are now looking for Software Engineers for Inventory Optimization Product Area in our new organisation Business Tech. Join our journey of creating world-class supply chain solutions where we put our customers' needs first. People, data and technology are key to our success!
Business Tech is the new agile product organisation within the larger H&M group. We are organised in small, cross-competent teams each owning a product end-to-end with a mission to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. You will be able to try out your creative and innovative ideas and together with your cross-competent team shape the future of retail & supply chain.
Order Fulfilment is how we fulfil the customers’ orders when shopping online. We source the customer order from the most suitable location by balancing availability, cost, speed and sustainability. In SAP CAR we enable Sourcing Strategy Logic in order to decide from which Distribution Center (DC) an online order shall be sent. The Product also provides availability information to our customer, by adding several DCs, availability will increase on site.

About the role
The role of a Software Engineer holds a broad spectrum from functional knowledge, configuration and testing to development and technical competences. Inside the Inventory Optimization Area you will mostly work with SAP CAR, SAP SD, NWP and Web Dynpro ABAP. Though we always strive to continuously build knowledge and learn beyond our current skillsets.
You will work alongside a Product Owner, Business Experts and other Software Engineers in an agile team, with the responsibility for creating and designing solutions that delight our end users and customers. Furthermore, you will:
Work with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
Translate product strategy and objectives into world-class maintainable and scalable solutions
Collaborate and co-create closely with your product owner and other teams
Qualifications
You are an important player in this transformation, and so we believe you are dynamic, collaborative, and curious and able to work in an environment that is not always formalised. You have previous experience from working in complex setups with many stakeholder and distributed teams. You understand the concept of integrated platforms and you know how to translate business objectives and visualise technical roadmaps.
As the Software Engineer comprises traditional SAP roles, such as Functional expert, Tester and Developer, you are ideally working as Functional expert, Tester, Developer or any combination thereof today and want to broaden your competences.
Requirements – We believe that you…
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
At least 3 years of work experience developing as a software engineer or similar within SAP applications, primarily within SAP CAR, SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and delivered solution related to Order to cash flow, available to promise, OAA (Omnichannel Article Availability) areas
SAP implementation experience with End to End lifecycle
Experience with known enterprise integration patterns such as IDOC, RFC, REST API, webservices and SLT
Experience with Cloud integrations (Azure) and tools such as SAP Fiori/UI5 are beneficial
Good understanding of SAP CAR, ECC architecture, HANA database & ABAP development
A demonstrated history of working according to Agile practices
Aim at state-of-art code and have experience with Code Reviews, TDD, Unit Tests, Test Automation and integration testing
Have a “You build it you run it” mindset – with hands-on experience of DevOps, such as building optimized deployment pipelines and CI/CD
Have good knowledge, both written and oral, in English
