Sandvik IT Global Shared Services (GSS) is a support function with the mission of meeting the IT needs of Sandvik's business globally, with about 850 people located in approximately 40 countries. This is done in an international environment, with various areas of responsibility, such as IT architecture, management systems, process development, IT security and IT support.

Due to a changing setting for the business, where Big Data, the Internet of Things and On-time Data have entered the scene, Sandvik IT's SAP functions are involved in many exciting current projects to meet the new expectations and demands from Sandviks various business areas. To strengthen our delivery, we are now looking for an SAP Release Manager who would like to be part of our journey towards the future in SAP. This position will be based in Sandviken, Sweden.

Job Summary
As SAP Release Manager, you take the lead in the entire chain of actions to achieve project deliveries on time, at the right cost and within the specified scope and quality. You are responsible for creating and communicating the SAP release schedule which include coordinating this with stakeholders within the GSS organization. Your work includes tasks such as taking responsibility for the transport management in the SAP landscape and ensuring regression tests. You deploy the releases to production, and additionaly, you act to further establish well functioning SAP release management.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in IT or equivalent experience gained from previous work assignments. You have at least five years experience of SAP implementation, as well as release and upgrade projects, and understand the landscape and dependencies within SAP ERP. We expect you to be skilled in SAP Solution Manager ChaRM, and general knowledge in testing is preferred, as is good understanding of Sandviks business. As we operate in a truly global setting, you must be used to cooperating in a cross-cultural working group and, of course, you communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

We have genuine interest in your personality, as well as in your talent for managing stakeholders and making decisions. You have a structured way of working and communicate effectively, which makes it easy to get others onboard in projects. Also, your skills in leadership and change management are of good use in this position.
