SAP Release Manager

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

We are looking for a SAP Release Manager to join our team who is willing to lead, take ownership, and drive the activities needed to secure Scania’s SAP journey.

As the SAP Release Manager, you are a member of the SAP Technology function of Scania within the department of Digital Core.

We know today how the power of software and data will shape our future and new business models. Scania will utilize that power to handle cross functional solutions seamlessly from an end-to-end perspective.

In order to become more data centric, achieve a single source of truth and have a modular IT landscape for speed and flexibility we need to set a solid foundation with a clean digital core and a standardized Industrial ERP backbone based on SAP S/4 Hana.

Having the standards and fundamentals in place, we will increase our agility and rapidly differentiate where we can have a competitive advantage.

You get to be in a central position in a large program with multiple rollouts of the SAP system with stakeholders across multiple business areas.

To succeed in this position, we see the following to be met.


• 5+ years’ experience of SAP ERP.
• Profound knowledge of SAP Activate methodology is required
• Knowledge about SAP Focus build
• Experience in blueprinting, gap analysis, end-to-end process design, release management, creating testing strategy, creating training plans and application management services
• S/4HANA Implementation experience (Desirable) with SAP Best Practices. 
• Provide leadership and guidance to other systems analysts, business teams, and implementation partner resources.
• Experience in vendor management will be an advantage
• Experience from the automotive industry will be an advantage

Responsibility


• Together with System implementation partner drive the Release implementation
• To drive the planning, design, and execution of Release roll-out project within the program
• To build a timeline and set activities to drive towards Release go live timeline, monitor, and control quality and results
• To coordinate Release activities across streams (cross workstreams and process workstreams), including orchestrating development across streams, test, local training and change activities as well as cut-over
• Reporting to program management
• Anticipate project deviations and be responsible for taking immediate corrective action.
• To drive the cutover planning, and ensure the plans are aligned.
