SAP Release Manager

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.We are now looking for an experienced SAP Release manager for our SAP implementation program.

Responsibilities include:

- managing overall release plan including project and AMS related releases

- managing dependencies among releases of different SAP solutions implemented concurrently

- managing changes in the system landscape and integration landscape with a technical maintenance plan (e.g. patching, upgrades)

- providing support in managing the technical aspects in the scope control process, together with the program management

- together with the team of cut-over management playing the role of a gatekeeper for changes moved to production environments

Your Profile

The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of experience in a release management role for SAP implementation project for a global company. You should have a good understanding of SAP technology and experience of working in global SAP implementation projects run according to the Activate methodology. You should understand very well the "keep core clean" principle as well as SAP best practices for extensibility with SAP BTP.

You should be able to manage SAP releases with the use of SAP FocusedBuild as well as learn continuously about upcoming features of the tool, educate other project team members and - in cooperation with other team members - propose release maps for both SAP environments and the tools used.

Social and communication skills allowing one to work in a multinational, global environment are a must. You will collaborate with several stakeholders on different levels of the organization.
