SCA is looking for a DB2 administrator

Background SCA has chosen DB2 for UNIX on IBM pSeries AIX as the strategic platform for its SAP systems.To handle our growing system landscape we are now looking for a DB2 for UNIX administrator.You will work in the SAP Infrastructure team together with the SAP Basis administrators and UNIX administrators and you will also work close together with the Operations Competence Center (OCC) to set up day to day administration of the databases.We do not only value your experience but also that you are ambitious, flexible and willing to contribute in our growing organization.Assignment Description.. - Planning, installing and configuring the database part of an SAP installation including System Sizing and Capacity planning (disk layout, storage and server layout, etc).- Perform release upgrades and installation of database patches of the SAP database instances.- Database performance tuning including analysis, performance optimization, and memory management.- Maintaining database availability, including setting up of monitoring and alerting together with OCC - Proactive maintenance of the databases to avoid loss of database access and availability.- Handle backup, restore and log archiving together with the Unix team.- Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for DB2 for UNIX databases Prerequisites.. - Academic educational background or similar within IT.- A strong understanding on how to install, configure and maintain SQL databases on UNIX in a production environment which runs 24*7 - SQL knowledge when dealing with performance issues as well as program design - A strong understanding of database backup and disaster recover techniques - Customer focused - Team oriented - Process oriented, structured, skilled in documentation - Fluent in English - Willing to work irregular hours - Related DB2 for UNIX training.- DB2 for UNIX Technology Certification.- Good understanding of UNIX shell scripting.- SAP Basis experience.Application In this recruitment SCA is working with the Elan group.Pleas send you Swedish or English CV as soon as possible, however no later than the 16:th of April.We will interview and present candidates to SCA continuously.
