You will be part of Vestas Northern and Central Europe which is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, Finland, Celtic, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and the south part of Africa. We are responsible for the sales function, project, installation, and service of wind farms throughout these regions. Our Swedish headquarter is in Malmö and we have warehouses on several locations across Sweden.
The Service Department is responsible for the service and maintenance of the wind farms within Scandinavia. Vestas Northern and Central Europe strive to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, not only in modern energy but also in employee and customer satisfaction. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
SCADA Operations is part of the Service Business Unit NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organisation in selling, installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants.

Responsibilities
As a SCADA Technician/Engineer you will be responsible for implementing power control concepts, local options, and other automated functionalities in power plants based on Vestas standards and customer specific requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer as well as all kind of solutions around our SCADA products to resolve issues and projects with moderate complexity.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:
Engineering of power plant control software to meet the site-specific requirements
Support the SCADA project from kick-off to end of lifetime
SCADA system setup, maintenance and fault finding
Technical documentation
Remote commissioning and support
SCADA system upgrades and engineering of After Sales Projects
Fault finding


Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a background within industrial electricity and computer networks. Alternatively, you have experience from working with wind turbines and have an interest in learning about SCADA systems.
On a professional level, you have/are:
Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge
Knowledge and experience of computer networks and their configuration
Strong English skills, both in speech and writing
It’s an advantage if you have experience of communication protocols (MODBUS, DNP, OPC), SQL database, PLC programming, Automation or SCADA systems
Experience from working with wind turbines is also an advantage
