People & Culture is in the middle of a journey of change where we at People Business Service & Support in Sweden have an extremely important role.  Our department acts as the backbone for Scania and we ensure that all operational HR flows smoothly. People Business Service & Support is about 90 employees serving Scania in Sweden with Contact Center support, HR Administration, Payroll and Time Attendance, System Support and Travel Support.

Our current payroll manager continues her career within Scania. We are now looking for a payroll manager for Sweden who can continue the work of creating a world-class payroll function together with the dedicated and talented payroll team. We are a truly service minded team driven by great teamwork and serving our customer needs.

 With a fairly new payroll system in place we are now taking the next step in developing digital and customized services with the help of Service Now. An exciting journey for us as a service organisation to bring value to our customers at Scania in Sweden.

Your responsibilities in the role


• Be responsible for the payroll deliveries in Sweden
• Ensure high level and quality co-operation with relevant stakeholders. Work cross-functionally with other groups in HR, IT and Finance
• Ensure that competence and resources are adapted to the teams assignment and based on this, to recruit, lead, coach and develop the employees
• Organize, plan and follow up the business based on service delivery goals
• Drive continuous improvement of the end-to-end payroll process in Sweden
• Together with colleagues within Scania, you develop policies and guidelines for the payroll area, and stay up to date in regulations, laws and agreements concerning the payroll area
• Be part of the People Business Service & Support management team where we work together with the target to deliver excellent services and systems to manager and employees in Sweden


Your profile

You have an academic degree in Business or Human Resources (or a related field) or equivalent experience. You have extensive experience of strategic and operational payroll processes.

We are looking for a leader with a growth mindset in both developing your team as well as being open to change and improvements. To be successful in this position you are a team player, a good communicator, have a strong ability to network and reach results through others. You inspire people by your optimistic, passionate and engaging personality. You speak Swedish and English fluently.

Quality is important to you, and you take first-class service for granted. Working with continuous improvements is a natural part of your way of working and we are happy to see that you have experience of that.  Since we are in a change journey it is an advantage if you have experience of building up new businesses and implementing changes.
