Engine Assembly in China – Full scale Scania production setup from zero
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set-up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full scale assembly operations have been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. One part of this project is the establishment of an Engine Assembly plant. We are now looking for Project Manager candidates to put the industrial processes in place!
In the project, you will be a part of an exciting journey to create a full scale production plant in China. Starting from zero, the project team is responsible to design, build and launch production in a completely new factory. There will be possibilities for longer periods in China.
The new Engine Assembly plant will include processes such as Assembly line, Engine test facilities and a paint shop. As a Project Manager in Engineering, you will be responsible to implement such a process. You will be responsible to lead the project members from pre-study and process design through specification of requirements and procurement of equipment all the way to installation and implementation. You will be responsible for time plan, budget and quality for your project and will act as the main interface towards involved equipment supplier(s).

Since the corporate & project language is English and you will have International contacts, it is required that you can confidently express yourself in English, both orally and in writing. Meritorious is a university degree in engineering and at least a couple of years' of work experience as Project manager in production or similar.
Your location
The China project team is based in Södertälje. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competences needed and project deliveries. Business trips abroad and to China occur. For some roles longer location in China is possible or needed.
