Arbetsbeskrivning
Join us on an exciting journey. Starting from zero, the project team is responsible to design, build and launch a full-scale production plant in China.
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set-up a 3rd industrial hub in China and a Södertälje based project to develop and implement full scale production set up have been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics.
We are now looking for a Project Leader IT who will lead a team with industrial/automation engineers, all working with the aim to set up a manufacturing IT solution in our new factory from scratch. This is an essential contribution to the project since the manufacturing IT connects to, and executes, all parts of our production process.
At Scania, we have a standardized system setup of manufacturing IT executing our production processes. As we are to set up a new production hub, a big part of the work is to clarify which of our existing standardized functionalities are reusable in the new plant and what functionality gaps do we have between existing functionalities and project requirements. In addition, another important area of the work is to configure the standardized functions that we want to re-use in the new assembly process. The project leader will be our production business representative in these strategic questions working in close cooperation with the assigned project leader from Scania IT.
Your team will ensure that we have provided Scania IT with the requirements necessary to develop an optimal solution for our production processes. To accomplish this, your team will set the requirements together with Scania IT and work in close cooperation with the process project that is procuring the manufacturing lines. A close collaboration is needed to ensure that the new automation processes are properly specified and built to communicate with the SCADA and MES systems.
As the project leader, you are responsible for the quality of the solution and that it is implemented in time for the start of production and to continuously plan and follow up on investment and project expenses.
The Project Leader IT will be a part of the Engineering Axle Assembly Department which will consist of approximately 20 co-workers. The China project team is a global team, primarily based in Södertälje. However, flexible work location is applied. Business trips abroad and to China occur.
Is this you?
We believe that good cooperation and communication skills with people at all levels of an organization are key personality traits for us. We will work in a global international context together with cross functional teams and we will also take advantage of our global production team within the Traton Group. We seek people with the capability to independently drive activities in the context of a broader team project and with the ability to break down and solve problems that occur along the way. By others, you might be described as a structured and communicative team player with leadership skills.
In addition, you have likely:
• a bachelor’s- or master's degree
• a couple of years of experience from manufacturing IT
• experience from project management and/or from managerial positions
Since the corporate & project language is English and you will have many international contacts, it is required that you can confidently express yourself in English, both orally and in writing.
