Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is looking for experienced purchasers to join our Purchasing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work where technology and innovation meet, in one of the most dynamic and successful transport companies in the world.
Scania Purchasing buys products and services for all of Scania’s units worldwide. Our global purchasing organisation is based in Södertälje, Sweden, and has around 750 employees around the world. To help us meet our future challenges, we are recruiting experienced purchasers within all areas.
Your duties
You will be responsible for challenging, developing and optimising Scania’s global supplier base in your specific product range. Your main task will be creating strategic plans and activities to improve the quality, delivery precision and total cost of your product range.
You will negotiate commercial agreements, actively developing existing and future suppliers in keeping with Scania’s high standards. You will work closely with purchasing colleagues throughout the Volkswagen Group, with quality managers, production and design.
Your profile
You have a strong commercial interest and are passionate about doing business. You are a graduate engineer or industrial economist with several years’ professional experience as a purchaser. Alternatively, you have similar experience from working in commercial or production engineering.
We’re looking for candidates who are professional, creative, flexible, and results-oriented. You will work with many contacts at different levels internally and externally, so good negotiation, communication and cooperation skills are important. You’re well organised and analytical, enjoy a fast tempo and can create strategic, comprehensive solutions to achieve agreed objectives.
The role involves a large international network and some travel, so you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken Swedish and English. German would be an advantage.
We offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job, with plenty of scope for new ideas. Scania’s culture is characterised by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. Our people are our most important resource, so we invest in employee training. We will give you the opportunity to develop your skills so you can grow with us.
We also offer our employees a generous benefits package.
If you want to work somewhere that values participation and constant development, Scania is the place for you.
