The Intralogistics organisation is responsible to establish, lead, support and develop logistics solutions for the various IKEA units that have a logistical and fulfilment component, including the development and innovation agenda of intralogistics at IKEA global. In practical terms, Intralogistics shall lead and educate in creating concepts, processes and solutions for IKEA Handling and Storage as well as to act as centre of expertise for all establishments of logistics units around the globe. The organisation is in strong lead towards a more mechanical and automated goods handling.
The Business Architect is a key position to translate and articulate the business needs and establish a road map to guide and support the transformation of business solutions needed today and tomorrow.
The Architecture function consists of Business Architects and IT Architects. We are responsible for defining and enforcing architecture within the Intralogistics area.
About the assignment
As the Business Architect you will among other tasks:
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to shape business need and ideas into business architecture for intralogistics solutions improvements, describing the current state, future state and transition states to guide the detailed design and delivery of business solutions.
Provide information and advice for better informed business decisions within and across organisation(s) to optimize portfolio & roadmaps.
Design and document a concrete, robust and appropriate architecture covering people, process, and technology and organisation impact for the change in scope as well as an actionable transition roadmap.
Lead information architecture activities within the domain(s), establishing directions and providing advice.
Responsible to secure an understanding of the architecture to relevant business and IT stakeholders – within and across organisation(s) – and seek agreement with business leaders/owners.
About you
As a person, you have a strong interest in supply chain and intralogistics, having a high interest in the field of technology, digitalisation automation. We are looking for someone with significant experience, competence and seniority in the intralogistics business domain. You can have a various background coming from different positions in the business organization. For example, management, process development, requirement gathering and/or project leadership and change management. You´re highly motivated by achieving long term business results and have the ability to see the big picture as well as the details. We also believe that you have the ability to develop, translate and articulate business needs
We also see that you have/know:
Deep understanding and experience from practice of business architecture frameworks, how the field of architecture is developing and what the benefits would be for IKEA
Good knowledge and understanding of the IKEA processes and organisations.
Strong knowledge of the IKEA's supply chain
Good understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value by delivering result
Fluent in English both written & verbal
the IKEA organization, ways of working and governance model
the IKEA business solutions landscape, strategies and IKEA group of companies
the IKEA change management, project steering/management methodology
Understanding of Intralogistics
