Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group ("friskola") with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. IES Årsta is a Grade 4-9 compulsory school in the inner city suburb of Årsta, Stockholm. We have a diverse group of 768 students from across the Stockholm region and we teach 44 different mother tongue languages for our students.

We are now recruiting for a new IT Manager. Purpose of the role

The role of IT Manager is to ensure the efficient and cost effective management of IT infrastructure and services throughout the whole school. With a high priority given to supporting the teachers and administration team with their IT needs to ensure the teachers can spend time focusing on the education of our students.  

Role specific responsibilities

- Develop and support needs to educate our students using our IT infrastructure and services
- Maintain and optimise the school’s IT environment (Hardware and software) 
- Ensure that staff and students are able to access their accounts
- Ensure that staff and students are able to access the necessary IT infrastructure
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of the 1:1 program for Grade 7-9.
- Implement the role of IT Rep as required by IES HQ. 

Support responsibilities

- Support staff in the use of IT systems on an ongoing basis
- Support staff and students to follow IT procedures correctly
- Support and develop the use of the latest educational technology within the curriculum
- Support and develop the use of the latest education technology  within Special Education
- Support with reception times and break duties or other tasks as scheduled and delegated. 
- Support with facilities tasks as delegated. 
- Support with IT and administrative tasks as delegated by the Assistant Principals or Principal
- Support with the implementation of the DPCP duties as delegated by the Principal.

Arbetsroll

IT-chefens roll är att säkerställa en effektiv och kostnadseffektiv hantering av IT-infrastruktur och -tjänster i hela skolan. Med särskilt fokus på att stödja lärare och övrig administration med IT-behov för att säkerställa att personalen kan lägga sin tid på utbildningen av våra studenter.

Rollspecifika ansvarsområden

- Utveckla och stödja behov för att utbilda våra elever med hjälp av vår IT-infrastruktur och andra IT-tjänster
- Underhålla och optimera skolans IT-miljö (avseende såväl hård- som mjukvara)
- Se till att personal och elever har tillgång till sina konton
- Se till att personal och elever har tillgång till nödvändig IT-infrastruktur
- Hantera implementeringen och drift av 1:1-programmet för klass 7-9.
- Utveckla rollen som IT-ansvarig i enlighet med riktlinje från IES HQ.

Stödjansvar

- Stödja personal i löpande användning av IT-system
- Stödja personal och elever till att korrekt följa IT-rutiner
- Stödja och utveckla användningen av de senaste IKT-lösningarna i arbetet att nå kunskapsmålen
- Stödja och utveckla användningen av de senaste IKT-lösningarna inom specialundervisning
- Bemanning av reception och rastvakt eller andra uppgifter enligt schema och delegering.
- Stöd till vår vaktmästare som delegerat.
- Stöd med IT- och och andra administrativa uppgifter som delegeras av biträdande rektor eller rektor
- Stöd med genomförandet av DPCP:s uppgifter som delegeras av rektorn.
