Scientific and Medical Data Manager

Monocl is a rapidly growing SaaS business focused on life sciences and healthcare, and we're currently looking to expand our Product Management team with a passionate scientific and medical domain expert. The role is based in Gothenburg and you will work with our tremendous Product Management team while in tight cooperation with Engineering, Medical Strategy and Commercial. What You’ll Do


As Monocl's Scientific and Medical Data Manager, you will support several teams and departments in a uniquely cross-functional role. As a source of domain expertise within life science, your days will include customer-facing dialogues with major pharmaceutical companies, R&D discussion with Engineering and Product Management teams, and product messaging meetings with Monocl's Marketing and Medical Strategy departments. Regardless of the audience, your role will be to advise on data that will align our products with the needs of our customers.


Your key responsibilities include:


· Detailed analysis around the structure and customer value of medical and scientific databases
· Supporting Marketing in defining the characteristics of Risting Stars in specific therapeutic areas
· Assisting the engineering team with evaluating the results of their recent improvements around our machine-learning models
· Researching and providing internal knowledge on the world's healthcare systems
· Evaluating new data sources to add to Monocl's platform and develop the format that this data should structure and gather
· Be in close contact with our customers and understand their needs and what they need to understand about the scientific and medical experts in the Monocl platform, to be able to use this in your ongoing analysis of new data sources

Your deep knowledge of the life science landscape, in combination with your ability to advise and support others, will help Monocl excel in delivering a world-class product tailored to meet the needs of the world's pharmaceutical companies.

We think you have:

· A strong understanding of the scientific and medical field (at least 2-3 years of work experience in the industry)
· Bachelor's degree or higher in a Life Science related field or equivalent work experience
· Excellent understanding and experience in Excel and/or databases
· Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English


Experiences that could put you over the top:


· Experience of working in a company with large datasets, data visualisation or big data
· PhD/Research in Life Science related fields (Biology, Microbiology, Neuroscience etc.)
· Been a part of a fast-growing organisation
· Experience of working with ontologies
· A good understanding of statistics
· Experience of scripting
