Scientific Editor
A general fixed-term employment as scientific editor/grant manager, full time for 24 months, at the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, Institute of Medicine, University of Gothenburg.
tasks: Edit, enhance, and provide views on how the scientific process of grant applications are formulated and presented.Enhance readability and structure of applications by improving sentence clarity and the logical flow of ideas.You will provide support for scientific reporting of the project by structuring, enhancing and examining English language manuscript for publication in peer reviewed scientific journals.Documenting, structuring and managing CVs and publication lists in connection with grant applications.Arrange meetings and seminars for grant applications and any manuscript writing.Suggest collaborations in writing grant applications in particular in the department.It also includes the planning and the coordination of the application process and to ensure that the timing of the application procedure is followed by funding candidates and research, communicating with the grant manager at the Sahlgrenska Academy and University of Gothenburg centrally.
qualifications: In order to manage the process of grant applications, you should have experience in reading and writing medical / biological text in English and you're welcome to hold a PhD in relevant discipline.You should have English as your native language.Journalistic training and experience is a plus.Moreover, experience in administrative work merit.Fluent clear and grammatical correct English in speaking and writing and very good computer skills are a must, as well as being able to work independently.Emphasis is placed on personal qualities such as interpersonal skills, stress tolerance, sense of service and flexibility.
