Scientific Product Specialist, Research and Customized Products
Location: Uppsala, Sweden - 40% remote


The job:


As our new Scientific Product Specialist, you will be joining the Business Development Special Allergen Service team within the ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), reporting into the Business Development and Strategy team. The Scientific Product Specialist role is responsible for development projects for Research and Customized products from a scientific, technical, and business perspective and to deliver on key initiatives for the Special Allergen Service portfolio, in collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Medical & Scientific Affairs and Commercial organizations.
The role collaborates closely with global Commercial teams, customers and global HQ functional areas to enable customers to drive innovation through pioneering Research products and support customers in their research through Customized products:
Development and supply of novel allergen products for the researcher
Customized ImmunoCAP products for quantitative measurement of specific IgE
Scientific collaborations on emerging allergenic sources and molecules

This role is based in Uppsala with the possibility of working remotely up to 40%. Occasional international travel may be required with overnight stays.

What will you do?
Lead development projects for Research and Customized products from a scientific, technical, and business perspective, including data review and presentation of scientific information to customers
Provide scientific, technical, and product support for assigned activities and product portfolio
Partner with Medical & Scientific Affairs, R&D and other functions to evaluate and drive scientific collaboration projects
Monitor relevant research, and participate in local/international congresses, to identify innovative opportunities and propose value-adding solutions
Contribute to training material and marketing assets for Research and Customized products and services
Identify market, customer, and support needs for new and existing Research and Customized products



Who we are looking for:
Bachelor of Science degree in a biological science or similar
Extensive experience within Diagnostics, Medical Device or Life Science Industry
Strong immunoassay development, trouble shooting and validation skills
Knowledge of immunogenicity assay development and validation and/or allergy & allergens
Goal-orientated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Project management experience with strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
Experience from a customer facing or scientific collaborative role is preferred, but not required
Experience of contractual work is of interest, but not essential
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills and team focus
Fluent in English and Swedish (spoken and written)
