Role Summary
We are looking for a creative, skilled polymer chemist or chemist with a strong understanding of emulsification processes (PhD in polymer, physical, colloid, surface or materials chemistry or similar experience) with a strong laboratory orientation. You will, as part of R&D, contribute to development of leading products which are used in the manufacturing of vitally important biological drug therapies.
Essential Responsibilities
The role is with the Particle Design section of the BioProcess Media department, BioProcess R&D. The section?s main activities are focused on the design and characterization of structured particles for chromatographic separation of biomolecules.
More specifically your tasks will include:
-Act as a technical specialist in the field of particle technology/emulsification
-Identify, implement new techniques and follow the technical development in the field
-Independently plan and accomplish given tasks, to reach given project objectives
-Independently solve problems of "trouble shooting character" in project work
-Act as supervisor
-Identify and lead external collaborations
-Document and report results both verbally and written
Qualifications
-PhD or equivalent in in polymer, physical, colloid, surface or materials chemistry or related fields
-Experience from techniques for particle synthesis methods, e.g. emulsification- suspension polymerisation
-Experience and have worked active with material related questions: e.g. physical properties related to microstructures
-Experience from supervising personnel
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
-Experience from laboratory work and report writing; enthusiasm to spend a large part of time in laboratory work
-English and Swedish as working languages
-EU work permit
