You will use existing methods and perform characterization work in running projects. You will also act as technical specialist and follow the developments in the field. The role is strongly laboratory-based and we seek an enthusiastic co-worker with a keen interest in particle characterization.

Frequently used techniques for particle sizing are microscopy and image analysis, Coulter principle and light scattering; for pore characterization SEC, electron microscopy and diffusion NMR; for polymer characterization SEC-MALLS and SEC-TDS. Experience of those and in addition experience of spectroscopy and/or techniques for determination of physical characteristics of particles and of packed beds, such as pressure-flow properties and column packing, will be seen as advantages.

Essential responsibilities:

Independently plan and accomplish given tasks from Project Manager or Section Manager, to reach given project objectives.
Perform characterization work of porous materials and polymers.
Independently solve problems of "trouble shooting character" in project work.
