We are looking for a Scientist or Senior Research Engineer with design resposability for Affinity ligands to join our Process Control R&D team within the MSAT department, based in Uppsala, Sweden. The successful candidate will assist the R&D team in Uppsala to help accelerate a successful process transfer to a second resin manufacturing site. The candidate is design responsible for the upstream, midstream and downstream process of the affinity ligands in the area protein purification to secure to transfer to the second site. What you’ll do
Design, perform, analyze, document and present chromatographic purification experiments of recombinant proteins in different formats, from lab scale to pilot scale. Participate in the development and optimization of platform processes.
Provide technical expertise within the areas of protein chromatography and development of purification processes for recombinant proteins and solve technical problems, supporting both R&D projects and manufacturing of protein ligands.
Act as activity leader, design responsible in projects introducing new products and field expert reviewer.
Act as a mentor/local expert and support peers within the areas of protein purification and process development.
Present scientific and technical results internally and externally, oral and written communication in Swedish and English.



Who you are
PhD in Biochemistry/Biotechnology or related Life Science field and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience from industrial development/ R&D in the bioprocess area.
Expert in protein chemistry and protein purification.
Experience from process development for purification of recombinant proteins.
Result-oriented, flexible and creative with a strong collaborative attitude.
Accurate and structured way of working.
Swedish and English as working language.
Good interpersonal skills/Goal oriented team player.
Ability to travel.
