Role Summary/Purpose:

The Consumables Upstream & ReadyToProcess department is expanding in the area of Extractables and Leachables and is setting up a dedicated group to work in this area.
The team will focus on fulfilling and developing the GE Healthcare strategy regarding extractables and leachables. This by characterization of components and material in new and existing product. The work will be in close collaboration with other teams and functions locally and globally.

Essential Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Scientist with solid experience in mass spectrometry. The Scientist position is responsible for the analytical strategy, design and method development work in a regulated environment.

Scientific leadership and ability to work and act cross-functionally in the organization
To plan, execute, document, and when needed supervise project work to reach given objectives
To act as scientific/technical expert and to provide technical lead within analytical chemistry in the Extractables and Leachables projects
To play an innovative and creative role in identifying and evaluating new product opportunities
Strong External focus: to build and maintain networks and spread knowledge in entire organization
To contribute to the company?s scientific presence,
To participate in, and if needed, actively manage external collaborations and research activities

Qualifications:

At least MSc or equivalent in Analytical chemistry
Solid experience in mass spectrometry (GC-MS, LC-MS)
At least 3 years? experience from analyses in a regulated environment such as ISO 17025 or GxP
Solid experience from characterization of extractables from polymeric materials
English and Swedish as working languages
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience from leading and mentoring team members
Excellent computer skills and ability to work in both common lab/office software plus specific internal systems
EU work permit
