Scientist: Analytical Development HPLC Specialist

In order to support our customers and innovation hub partners NorthX Biologics is expanding our development services. We are establishing a new development organisation including new facilities, laboratories, and technology. To enable this, we are looking for a skilled scientist within HPLC method development. You will be supporting customer and technology programs with expertise in HPLC methods for characterisation of proteins, nucleotides and other biologicals. You will be planning, executing, and reporting experiments to develop robust and reproducible methods that can be validated for GMP. You are technically skilled and are experienced in establishing and troubleshooting of HPLC methods. In addition to developing analytical methods, you will be supporting upstream and downstream development work with analytical expertise and testing. Preferably you have experience from research and development in an industrial setting.
Examples of duties are:
Planning and reporting of experiment in writing
Develop and troubleshoot protocols and methods
Support development programs within process and product testing
Assessment of new technologies/methods
Procurement commissioning and testing of analytical instruments
Analyse and report results from experiments
Participate in method transfer to GMP QC lab
Provide expertise within your field to other departments



You are motivated by a working hands-on in the lab but also by documenting and planning your work at the desk. You are self-motivated and are able to demonstrate high levels of creativity and enjoy finding solutions to complex challenges. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
You will ideally have a higher academic degree within a relevant field or several years of relevant professional experience. Experience from HPLC method development is required and experience from other bioanalytical method such as gel electrophoresis, blotting methods, ELISA, PCR/pPCR, sequencing are advantageous.
