Scientist Compound Management

Poolia Väst AB Presentation Right now we have a very interesting assignment for 11 months, at Astra Zeneca in Mölndal, it is in the Compound Management Group, within Lead Discovery Sciences. Arbetsuppgifter Lead Discovery Sciences requires a scientist to work in the Compound Management Group. Compound Management are responsible for the maintenance, development and access to the compound collection providing a service across Discovery on the Mölndal site and globally. The work involves the processing of newly synthesized or acquired compounds and handling requests for these compounds or from the existing compound library. The group uses automated systems, compound databases and some manual compound handling. Utbildning/erfarenhet This role requires experience of operating and trouble shooting automated systems and/or liquid handling equipment, strong computer skills and ideally previous experience of the pharmaceutical industry. A university degree in Chemistry or related science is beneficial, but good practical experience of laboratory work and aptitude is equally important. There is regular contact with our large customer base so a service-minded personality is essential.
