We are looking for a Scientist to join the Affinity Ligand Process Characterization section at R&D in Uppsala, Sweden. This is a new section that is going to be responsible for analysis of protein-based affinity ligands, development and optimization of analytical methods and characterization of affinity chromatography resins. The primary focus of this position is to perform protein analysis, development, and optimization of analytical methods, perform method validation and transfer of analytical methods to QC. What you’ll do
The primary focus of this position is to perform protein analysis, development, and optimization of analytical methods, perform method validation and transfer of analytical methods to QC.
Provide technical expertise within the areas of protein analysis, solve technical problems, supporting both R&D projects and QC.
Act as a mentor/local expert and support peers within the areas of protein analysis and development of analytical methods.
Present scientific and technical results internally and externally, oral and written communication in Swedish and English.
Who you are
PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, or related Life Science field and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience from industrial development/ R&D within biochemistry, biotechnology or bioprocess.
The candidate should have experience of analytical development with focus on LC-MS (Q-TOFs) and HPLC.
Additional experience of methods such as 2D-LC, UV/VIS/ Fluorescence spectroscopy and ELISA is also advantageous.
The candidate should have experience of development of analytical methods, method validation and preferably experience in working with protein characterization in an industrial environment. Previous experience of working with purification of proteins or mAbs is desirable.

English and Swedish as working languages.
