The position:
Swedish Match department Regulatory and Scientific Affairs ensures that Swedish Match hold scientific facts about snus and nicotine products, in order to create competitive advantages and to be able to communicate with consumers and authorities. The department consist of Analytical Science, Product Science, Regulatory & Product Safety and the new group Nonclinical Science. At the department in Stockholm works about 50 employees.
The group Nonclinical Science is supporting both US and Europe Division of Swedish Match with scientific expertise and toxicological studies. This support is crucial in product development and regulatory submissions. As a Toxicology Scientist you will work with outsourced research and regulatory studies within the area of toxicology including:
• Design, management, and interpretation of results
• Coordinate toxicological studies conducted at CROs and/or external collaboration partners
• Assist with preparation and/or review of materials supporting regulatory submissions
• Provides expert knowledge to maintain a world-leading scientific level in nicotine and tobacco products
Swedish Match give an opportunity to work with internal cross-functional teams, CROs and external experts to support general scientific activities. The role will play an essential role in putting new tobacco free nicotine products on the market that can replace the need for hazardous products such as cigarettes.
Qualifications:
• PhD in Life Science or equivalent
• Two years or more experience with experience in relevant area
• Hands-on experience of in vitro studies resulting in a thorough knowledge of concepts, principles, methods and technique, preferable screening analysis for toxicological evaluation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent English spoken and written skills
Meritorious:
• Experience in working with nicotine products
• Experience from outsourcing preclinical studies or working at a CRO
• Knowledge of statistics
• Experience with in silico tools for toxicology assessments
• Swedish skills both written and verbal
