Driver Eco Coaching (DECO) is an onboard application available for the driver in the Second Information Display (SID) and an offboard desktop application available for the fleet managers in the Back Office System (BOS). DECO assesses the driver’s performance on how the vehicle is driven regarding fuel/energy efficient driving and guide the driver on how to improve driving performance on these aspects.
Problem
DECO onboard and offboard application evaluates driver's behaviour by numerical results in a scoring table. The driver is informed about his/her performance from a fuel/energy point of view by numerical scoring values presented in the application. This scoring table is an old fashion way to evaluate driver behaves, is acting reactive instead for proactive.
Solution
We would like to replace the scoring table and instead use an intelligent logical model - algorithm which could evaluate driver behaves from a fuel/energy point of view, analyze inputs, provide outputs which could be presented for the driver.
Goal of the thesis
The goal of the thesis is to replace today´s DECO scoring table solution by developing an intelligent logical model - algorithm. Steps to follow for a success thesis work:
Get familiar with DECO onboard/offboard application
Investigate and define needed data inputs for the logical model - algorithm
Anchor data inputs with DECO team at GTT
Investigate and define needed data outputs for the logical model - algorithm
Anchor data outputs with DECO team at GTT
Create an intelligent logical model – algorithm which provide the user a detailed driver behaves from a fuel/energy point of view
Write Software Requirement Specification (SRS)
