Job Description
The scrum master exists to help teams at Snow adopt our agile working practices and principles, to deliver real customer value more efficiently.
The role holder will work closely with a small number of engineering teams to ensure that they are optimizing their throughput and realizing the true value of agile ways of working. They will coach and mentor teams and individuals, help to identify impediments and drive them to resolution. They will also work with the team's product manager to ensure that the backlog is high quality, prioritized, and ready for the team to execute on.
As a member of a community of scrum masters within Snow, they will contribute to the continual evolution of our ways of working.
Qualifications
Educates and supports engineering teams in adopting Snow's agile framework
Ensure that teams are adopting engineering best practices
Work with product management to ensure that the backlog is mature, customer-centric, and sufficiently detailed
Identify impediments and drive resolutions
Work with Snow's agile coach and other scrum master to help evolve Snow's agile processes
Demonstrated experience helping teams adopt agile methodologies
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring that teams take real value from them
Experience with Scrum, Kanban, etc. frameworks for agile.
Pragmatic view on agile process – adopts process to suit an organization's needs rather than dogmatically applying a methodology.
A passion for delivering customer value in a timely fashion without compromising delivered quality within a commercial organization.
