Volvo Cars have an ambition to expand our in-house software development. At the department of Core System Software, we are part of this ambition. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster, designed to host different vehicle applications, stretching from basic vehicle state machines to advance active safety and unsupervised autonomous drive functionalities. This compute cluster will be launched in our coming generation of pure electric and self-driving Volvo models. Our task is to create a safe, reliable, and secure software that serve as a platform for our stakeholders and partners to deploy applications on.
We are now looking a Scrum Master for Continues integration and release of core system platform.
Role Specifics
As a Scrum Master you will be an important part of our Agile Release Train (ART). You will work together with other agile leaders to create a high-performance organization. We are relying on our Scrum Masters to be servant leaders and coach the teams using agile team practices with focus on flow and taking lead in continuous improvements.
The teams establish and maintain integration pipeline for approximately 300 platform developers. The work includes improvement and development work as well as operational work. The release team acts as organization interface toward projects and secures a releasable platform and manage stakeholder contact.
Main responsibilities
• Support the teams to embrace, adopt and apply agile principles and practices
• Facilitate the team’s progress toward team goals by focusing on improving performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity as well as staying focused on the team’s iteration goals Facilitate team meetings like the daily stand-up, iteration planning, review and retrospective
• Support the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog with respect to priorities and scope
• Communicate with management and stakeholders, collaborate with other Scrum Masters to learn and improve own profession
• Facilitate preparation and readiness for ART ceremonies like PI Planning, System Demos and the Inspect and Adapt

You embrace agile and a continuous improvement mind-set.
It is meritorious with experience from of the following toolbox or similar, Jenkins, Zuul, Git/Gerrit, Python, Azure, Grafana, Configuration management and knowledge/experience from at least one modern programming language is an advantage.
You have at least 5 years of experience from working as a Scrum Master or Agile leader and previous experience in creating and establishing Software Development Processes. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
