The System and Energy controls section, part of Electrification Development, is responsible for the battery controlling software functions, features and tests for electrified trucks and buses. This is one of the key technologies for enabling sustainable transport solutions.
What you will do
Together with me and the product owners you will be leading the daily stand-up meetings to plan and organize the projects and work ahead. You will facilitate work in the team and raise obstacle challenges to the right stakeholders and eliminate hinders. As we are entering a more concrete way of agile work, called value creating team (VCT) it is also vital that you work closely, together and jointly with peer scrum masters within the division and with VCT managers as well as other stakeholders. Collaboration is very important here. This also enables you to form the role together with the team and manage the plans to drive real change.
It is also important that you coach team members in their daily work and mid and short term perspective as you have a deep understanding of the functionality the team is responsible for and working with.
In the Battery management system we develop state of charge, state of health, thermal runaway, emergency switch off and isolation measurement to mention some of the core functions and services we work with. All developers work with software requirements, implementation and tests for our modules where the tests can be performed both in simulation and in trucks or busses.
Our System is moving towards ISO26262 certification, so the team is also responsible for following the process and producing necessary documentation.
Your responsibility will be to lead the technical development of the team deliveries.
What we are looking for
You are skilled in project and process management as well as in agile work. We are looking for you that have a clear understanding of what stakeholder management is and have great interpersonal communication skills along with a true inclusive and empathic leadership mentality.
Other personal traits that we value for this role is for example but not limited to:
• solutions solving ability,
• can-do mentality,
• collaboration skills and
• responsible personality that goes on an beyond the immediate scope.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have a university degree in engineering or that you have acquired equivalent knowledge and skills through work. You also have a good knowledge of C/C++, MatLab/Simulink and RTOS (real time operating system) and experience in embedded software development. Experience from automotive applications and standards as well as CAN bus vehicle standard is meritorious.
Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing is mandatory as well as your respect for the individual, one of Scania’s core values.
