Scrum Master

We are looking for a Scrum Master for one of our clients in the Pharma Industry.

Job Description

Our client are seeking a certified and experience Scrum Master to join a diverse agile team being formed to deliver externally facing solutions supporting the conduct of clinical trials.

The Scrum Master will help the team deliver against their agreements, including by removing impediments. The Scrum Master should be experienced in Scaled Agile Framework and leading an Agile team within an Agile Release Train. Strong negotiation and communication skills are needed, as well as excellent facilitation and leadership / coaching techniques. The Scrum Master should also bring an enthusiasm for working together, a sense of humour, and be someone who enjoys problem solving as a team.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Understanding and commitment to Agile principles, methodologies and events

- Advanced facilitation skills and knowledge on team dynamics and coaching

- Capable of handling distributed teams spread geographically - two or more countries in various time zones - including motivating the team, and using digital tools to facilitate effective Agile ceremonies

- Help the Agile team manage their progress via transparent backlog and board overviews, incl. maintaining relevant team metrics and follow-up on team measurements, and supporting the Agile team to deliver according to agreements

- Solve impediments independently, and be aware of when to escalate for cross-Agile team resolution

- Help the Agile team and other roles prepare and align expectations before events

- Advanced experience in how to build and support a learning culture in the Agile team - increase knowledge, cut complexity and be innovative

- Via facilitation and feedback ensure that the Agile team is constantly evaluating own efficiency and taking corrective actions when improvement opportunities are identified

- Facilitate the team in adopting DevOps and built-in quality

- Help identify IT enablers and facilitate prioritization and execution

- Promote Agile quality practices

The team is working in an ART along with sibling teams working on closely related products. As the team’s product gets launched in production pilots the team will take up DevOps responsibility whilst further expanding the use and functionality of the product.
