We are passionate about seniors, and in everything we do at Doro, we champion the seniors and challenge ageism and exclusion. As leaders in the senior phone market, we're now on a mission to establish ourselves as Europe's premier tech brand for seniors. Your contribution is significant in realising this vision-are you ready for the challenge?
Founded in Sweden in 1974, Doro has a strong legacy of innovation, engineering, and a customer-centric approach. With nearly five decades of experience, we have dedicated ourselves to designing, developing, marketing, and selling consumer products finely tuned to meet the unique needs of seniors.
Joining Doro means embracing a workplace culture that values work-life balance. We offer a dynamic environment where your skills can flourish within a collaborative team that thrives on cooperation and mutual support. We have regular after-work, allow remote work up to two days per week and have a generous wellness allowance. At Doro, we're not just building products; we're crafting an inclusive and fulfilling work experience for you.
About the position
We are searching for a dynamic and passionate developer to assume the dual roles of a software developer and Scrum Master, allocating approximately 50% of the time to each role. The primary focus of development revolves around Android, given its central role in our core business of mobile phones. However, with our expansion into diverse products and services, the scope of development extends to iOS and backend systems hosted on AWS. To excel in this position, proficiency in at least one of these areas is essential.
In your capacity as a Scrum Master, you will influence the creation of applications and services tailored for mobile phones and various other products. Our mission is to simplify new technology and make it easily accessible for seniors, underscoring our commitment to make user-friendly solutions. If you are a dedicated developer with a passion for innovation and an aptitude for collaborative leadership, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
Main assignments
Engage in key Scrum Master activities such as leading daily scrum meetings, facilitating sprint planning sessions, overseeing sprint demos, and participating in retrospectives. Take on the role of team lead and coach for the development team, guiding them through the intricacies of their tasks. Drive the development of innovative products, applications, and services.
As an ambassador for your passions-whether they revolve around unit testing, agile processes, crosswords or quizzes-you'll have the opportunity to share and instil enthusiasm within the team. In our small team, versatility is key, so be ready to contribute across various tasks. And, among the diverse responsibilities, brace yourself for a lot of enjoyable experiences and collaborative fun!
