In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

Where you'll belong
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars’ Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicles as well as in component form. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, batteries, and transmissions, as well as aerodynamic and climatic testing. Our work includes hardware- and software preparation of testing, test execution and processing of measurement data.

The challenge
Are you an experienced Scrum Master ready to take on the job of guiding newly formed teams in agile methodologies? Our labs are continuously expanding and adapting, and we need to utilize new methods to test and verify next-generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. We work closely together to develop the testing of electric machines, electric drivelines, transmissions, inverters, and on-board chargers. The designs are changing at a rapid pace and we as teams need to be agile and at the same time deliver repeatable and precise data. There are great possibilities for new collaborations going forward.

What you'll do
As a Scrum Master you will continuously work with coaching the Scrum teams, refining the team’s processes, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and removing impediments. You will have a close collaboration with the Product Owner, Team Managers, and other interfacing teams.

We are in the midst of an agile transformation, where we want you to utilize your experience as a Scrum Master to lead and guide the teams in agile practices. You will communicate status, escalate, and track issues when required and be transparent in documentation and communication.

You will also:
* Support the team’s agile ways of working like Scrum ceremonies, Kanban, Definition-of-Done, WIP limits, continuous improvements etc.
* Guide team efforts in continuous improvement by supporting the team in retrospectives and take responsibility for their improvement actions.
* Facilitate all team meetings like the daily stand-up, iteration planning, demo and retrospective.
* Communicate with management and outside stakeholders to protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work.
* Facilitate preparation and readiness for ART ceremonies like PI Planning, System Demos and the Inspect and Adapt.

We offer you long-term development with great possibilities to make a real impact on a growing area with a bright and exciting future ahead.

You and your skills
We are looking for you who is very good at both formal and influential/inspirational leadership such as coaching, active listening and empowering teams, with experience working as a Scrum Master.

You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Automotive, mechanical, electronics or computer science engineering or equivalent and some years’ experience within research and development. You are fluent in English (spoken and written) and you have the ability to guide teams, apply a holistic and strategic approach, motivate and create trust in the team.

You have found the advantages of the Scrum and SAFe® way of working and can motivate and support others in this area. You prefer to plan and solve problems in a structured manner and you are very comfortable cooperating and communicating with people on diverse levels in the organization.
