Scrum Master & Function Developer - On Board Charger

The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering (EPS) is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.
The group Charging System is responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the on-board charger (OBC) system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW.
This position is 20% Scrum Master and 80% Function Developer. As Scrum Master you will be responsible to lead the in-house SW scrum team and deliver quality assured SW. You need to have a deep knowledge about the OBC software development and model based development using Simulink to be able to make the proper estimation for providing software solution included in different sprints. As Function Developer you will utilize a model based development (MBD) process and be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine tuning of OBC functionality. The idea is that you as experienced Simulink developer can support and coach the junior developers in the group.
Main responsibilities
* Ensuring that committed sprint targets are delivered and released to the project according to plan
* Leading the scrum team and delegating the work items within the team to achieve committed sprint target
* Coaching the team to utilise best practice software
* Creating sprint backlogs
* Providing estimation for delivery items in various sprints
* Escalate sprint stoppers to line management and remove impediments for the scrum team
* Conduct daily stand-ups with SCRUM-team
* Plan and conduct sprint demo
* Plan and conduct sprint retrospective
* Conduct software review meeting
Required qualifications
* Master or Bachelor of Science within engineering or equivalent work life experience
* Documented experience of working with Simulink and model based SW development
* Relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and control systems
* Documented experience of working with backlogs, Scrum/Kanban
* Knowledge about AUTOSAR architect and development
* Experience of working as scrum master
* Experience of working with JIRA, Jenkins, SVN, Scrum/Agile development
* Driver license B
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Experience in the automotive industry is meritorious
* Experience of working with system requirement, system solution and system design is meritorious
* Experience of on-board charger functionality is meritorious
* Knowledge about charging standards: AC, CHAdeMO, CCS is meritorious
* Competence within Test automation, C-programming, SW build environments, Continuous integration framework, INCA, SW testing (unit, MIL, SIL, HIL, Rigs, vehicle) is meritorious
* Electric motor vector control theory (for PMSM) is meritorious
* Experience of working as software technical team leader is meritorious
